Marko Turkalj is a multi-talented professional based in Zagreb, Croatia. He works as an educator, musician, videographer, producer, and mixing engineer for music and picture. With more than 20 years of experience, he is highly skilled in sound design and audio post-production. Marko has been playing a wide range of music since age 10 and has spent over 20 years in bands, occupying roles such as audio engineer, arranger, and musician.
After winning the Guitar Master competition in Zagreb in 2012, he played for many Croatian bands including Lollobrigida, Natali Dizdar, and Saša Lozar.
In 2019, he founded the company MARDI // Video, Music and Sound for Brands, which produces content for music artists, theatres, TV, and radio companies. He entered into cooperation with the company Out of Focus on projects for Google Photomath, Microblink, A1, DM, CMC, Croatian Football Federation, Badel 1862, Zagreb Brewery, and Medvedgrad Brewery. He also became the chief sound engineer and picture editor for HRT’s Music Top20 and PopRock.hr, working with UNISON – the Croatian Music Alliance.
His expertise in studio work extends beyond mixing, covering mastering, and sound design as well. His versatility makes him an ideal collaborator for artists and projects worldwide, regardless of their scope or size.
